Two of the biggest names in custom sneaker designs – SBTG and Methamphibian have united to create two striking pairs of New Balance 576s for Leftfoot stores. Dubbed the Heaven & Hell pack, each shoe features the distinctive print designs that both artists have cut their teeth on. While the details may lead you to believe that these are indeed custom designs, they are actually production models designed by the artist and put into production at New Balance. You can tell that SBTG and Meth kicked this project around for a year, just look how each print flows into the next on the different panels, rather than adding a print for the sake of inclusion. Three guesses which pair is Heaven!

Did you guess the white pair? Which shoe did the dinosaurs go to when they died? Oh, wait… But seriously, I love how little details like the typography on the tongue tag were taken into account. I’m not sure how I feel about the patent tongue from a wearability standpoint, but it definitely gives these things some flair.

I have to say I prefer the black pair to the tonal white model, since it flaunts the craft of the artists a bit more directly, but at 444 pairs each, I’ll take whatever I can get my hands on. Look for these to hit Leftfoot Singapore and Taipei, Undefeated Japan, Mita Sneakers and Atmos sometime this April.
