They’ve done it again folks. Starks has knocked another one out of the park and continues to remain a step ahead with their creative shoe lace designs. This A Tribe Called Quest design is a perfect nod to one of the most important hip hop groups of the 90’s. Sure, this pattern has been seen all over (literally) tees from a wide variety of companies, but I’ve always felt that was overkill. Now I have the opportunity to show my love for the Tribe in a more subtle, sophisticated way, and if you’re anything like me, you should do the same.

Here’s the album that started it off. Seriously, if you don’t own this, stop reading right now and buy this record. No tee shirt, shoe lace, skate deck, or any other tribute can come even close to matching the importance of music like this. There’s certainly a place for these iconic visuals, which admittedly would hold probably up on their own, but that has more to do with the strength of the visual component of Tribe’s craft, something these Photoshop heavy artists could learn from.

After you’ve spent some time letting this album sink in, grab a pair of these laces and throw ‘em in something nice. Freshen up some J’s, add some contrast to your Vans,or get all coordinated with something from the Nike ID store. Hit up Starks online if you don’t have a dealer in your area.
