Hella Tight x Del “Bombay” Hieroglyphics fitted

Today Hella Tight released a new hat they did with Del The Funky Homosapien called the “Bombay“. The crown of the hat is melton wool with the front Hieroglyphics logo embroidered in a 3M reflective material, and toppped off with a leather visor and button. Inconjunction with the release of the hat Del recorded a new song called “Tha Bombay” which is available for free download after the jump.

As artist and founder of the SSUR clothing line and its sub-brands Rebel Ape and Caviar Cartel, Russ Karablin has become a prominent figure in both the street wear and contemporary art scenes. The strong influence of New York City, from its hip hop culture to its street art, is prevalent within SSURs imagery. Equally as influential to his designs is Russ Karablin’s Russian background. He combines pop culture memorabilia with war propaganda, meshing past and present iconography, to create work concerned with sex, politics, and protest. Watch the 2002 interview after the jump.
