Last month October 22nd, marked the Grand Opening of the Second Chapter to Greyone’s Asia expansion. With the success of the first Greyone Social boutique in Manila, and the blooming of streetwear in the Philippines, it only makes sense that Greyone Social has decided to open up another shop in Manila.
The fashion world of Philadelphia has long been its own animal. A balance of niches, styles and influences has been the City of Brotherly Love very dynamic in its way, and from the good (vintage Nikes) to the questionable (dudes wearing Capris), the two-one-five refuses to stylistically live in New York’s shadow.
To keep the pot stirred, stores are legendary in this city. Right on North 3rd Street, just spitting distance from Bobbito Garcia’s old storefront, WTHN welcomes all types of people. Owned and operated by Mason Warner, who helped make some of the biggest local and national stores what they are, this independent operation might be a labor of love, but one with tremendous potential. Having sold thousands of his personal collection to get WTHN’s funding, Warner turned his passion into his dream. And with an outspoken approach to selling, store cooperation and artistic patronage, the true beauty lies WTHN. The Evil Collector explores.
This saturday marks the opening of the UNDRCRWN pop-up shop at Tradition. Tradition will have a mini UNDRCRWN store featuring all of their newest, most exclusive, and hard to find products, as well as deals and free gifts with purchases! Tradition will be the place to be on August 2nd, so stop by for some free drinks, listen to some tunes, and also check out the opening reception for the ‘Pen At Work‘ artshow as well. Wealthy Ho$tage is a Brooklyn based boutique founded in 2005 selling kicks, streetwear, denim and accessories has recently launched their online store. Nowadays it is only common to have an shop online site for customers to easily click and buy products, especially for those that don’t have access where they live.
This saturday May 10th, Supra footwear will be releasing a very limited pair of sneakers. So limited that only 11 retailers in the US will be getting these in and only having 30 pairs each. These silver, white and hints of turquoise kicks will be part of the Supra’s very own flagship store in Los Angeles Factory 413’s store exclusives called ‘413‘. When you think of a ‘Mystery Box‘ I’m sure plenty of things run thru your mind. Well just imagine if a skate brand named ‘Diamond Supply Co.‘ had a mystery box for you. You’d probally be psyched! I know I would. With all the fresh t-shirt designs that Diamond has been droppin’ for the past seasons, I’m sure nobody will even think of doubting that there is anything they will dislike in this box.
Located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Motivation has those chilly college kids looking hot. Owned by Mike Moeller and HipHopDX’s good pal Mick Boogie, this boutique has truly hit the ground running. Extensive inventory, a carried out mission and a relatively untapped market. Moeller, who blogs at www.mtvtn.blogspot.com, spoke to The Evil Collector about his store, his plans and how to jumpstart a store.
The Evil Collector earlier reported about the opening of the BBC/Ice Cream store in New York City. Last night, they threw a party to celebrate. With Miss Info doing a live broadcast, the store looks to be off to a grand start. For those in the NYC area, the store is open everyday – 12-noon to 7pm.
